Cosmo Polite fund

In 2007 Cosmo Polite hosted a Thanksgiving dinner and raised a small microfinancing fund for those who cannot treat themselves to stuffed Turkey and cranberry sauce. Since June 2008 we decided to donate the proceedings of the monthly drinks to the Cosmo Polite Fund, via which we extend loans to starting entrepreneurs in developing countries.

Kiva has been the main inspiration for the Cosmo Polite Fund. Whereas Cosmo Polite is an international community connected to Amsterdam, Kiva has created a global community of people connected through lending, for the sake of alleviating poverty. What we like best is that we get a sense of where our money is going to and what is happening with it. View our Kiva lender’s page.
